What a lush collection of things! Thank you for turning me on to Amy Hale's work. I love Ithell Colquhoun's writing on landscape--I'm really looking forward to learning more about her art and life. Also, I honour your retreat at your grief season. May you rest well, Babe!
Thanks Allyson!! Oh my gosh, you are in for a treat with Amy Hale's work - and I think she has another book out about Colquhoun's magical work soon too. (She's also just started a substack!) I still haven't read The Living Stones and Crying of the Wind - they're definitely on my need to read list though. I've just started reading Sword of Wisdom, which is Colquhoun's joyously gossipy biography of Samuel MacGregor Mathers of the Golden Dawn. She was a fascinating woman, for sure! Hope you have delicious August whatever the month brings. (And THANK YOU for recommending What The Snail Knows - that brightened my day!)
Here for August in Northern Spain. 💛 And for making run away space for the pain of your dear bro’s anniversary. Rooting for you, dear human. Xx
Thanks love! A joy, as ever, to feel your support x x
